The Pastoral Council is comprised of as many as 12 lay parishioners, parish staff members and the pastor. The Council identifies the concerns and needs of the parish and considers solutions to address those concerns and needs. The lay parishioners and staff members act as an advisory body for the pastor in these five areas of concern: Spiritual Life, Human Concerns, Parish Life and Administration, and Education. In attempting to address these five areas, the Council seeks to be of service to other SCL ministries as well as to individual parishioners. Lay members serve 4-year terms and meet 10 times per year.
